Different Express Entry Programs
Express entry is the fastest way for skilled workers to gain permanent residence in Canada. There are three different pathways for express entry. The minimum eligibility requirement for each category is given in the following table.
There are different stages of application express entry.
Stage 1. Meeting the minimum eligibility requirement: First stage is checking whether you meet the eligibility by filling out an online questionnaire. If the online questionnaire response is positive, you have 60 days to complete and submit your Express Entry profile. Once you create an express entry profile, that means you are in the online pool.
Stage 2: Waiting in the online pool till getting an invitation to apply: Second stage is getting an invitation to apply from the online pool. Not all online candidates will be invited to apply for permanent residence. The Candidates will be evaluated based on a ranking system called comprehensive ranking system. If your CRS score is above a cut off point, you will be invited to apply. The cut off point would vary in every round of invitation.
If you are invited to apply, you’ll have 90 days to submit a complete the permanent residence application.
Stage 3: Application for permanent residence: When filling out the form, you will have to upload all of the required documents.
· a passport or travel document (Venezuelan passport holders: You may need to complete extra steps when you create a profile or fill out your application).
· language test results
· proof of Canadian education or an educational credential assessment report for immigration purposes if you’re applying through the Federal Skilled Workers Program, or you want to get points for the education you got outside Canada
· provincial nomination (if you have one)
· written job offer from an employer in Canada (if you have one), proof of work experience, certificate of qualification in a trade occupation issued by a Canadian province or territory (if you have one)
· proof of funds
Most applicants also need to upload the followings.
· Police certificates
· Medical exams
· Proof of funds
· Birth certificate: required if you’re declaring dependent children
· Use of a representative form: required if you’ve hired a representative
· Common-law union form: required if you’ve declared your marital status as “common-law”
· Marriage certificate: required if you’ve declared your marital status as “married”
· Divorce certificate and legal separation agreement: required if you’ve declared your marital status as “divorced”
· Death certificate: required if you’ve declared your marital status as “widowed”
· Adoption certificate: required when a dependent child is listed as “adopted”
· proof of relationship to a relative in Canada
· digital photos to confirm your identity
· other name to confirm aliases
· authority to release personal information to a designated individual form
· any other documents that you feel are relevant to your application
All of your answers must be complete and true. You must make sure all the mandatory fields are completed, or you won’t be able to submit your application.
